To create the “Na Mara” earrings, liquid drops of Sterling Silver are poured into water (watercasting). This intricate dance of the elements results in organic and mostly unpredictable shapes. The technique was first explored by the artist while studying in Scotland, which inspired the name “Na Mara” — meaning “of the sea” in Gaelic. To enable as much of the water-like quality to be maintained, the individual elements have links that make them comfortable to wear and allow natural movement, catching the light from different angles.
